We, Janina and Deri are happy to welcome you to the jungle world.
Deri is a Bukit Lawang native. He is a jungle expert and loves the rainforest and its plants and animals. He is an absolute nature lover – often he wishes the old Bukit Lawang he knows from his childhood would return – without motorbikes and electricity.
Janina is German. The one thing that is stuck in her memory is the moment when she stood on a wobbly bridge and saw the green wall of the rainforest. This must be paradise, she thought. This was in 2008. Today, she lives in Asia and Bukit Lawang.
